In 1957 this “Surfer Girl” art was used as a Libby’s Pineapple promotional poster.
Libby's was created by Archibald McNeill, and two brothers, Arthur and Charles Libby. Originally founded as Libby, "McNeill & Libby" began with a canned meat product, corned beef or beef in brine. By the 1900s Libby's had begun to can fruits and vegetables and employed an astonishing 2,000 people.
