With over 150 million records sold worldwide, Aerosmith is among one of the most recognizable names in music over the last 50 years. Since forming in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970 the band experienced a quick rise to fame in the 1970's, a significant fall in the early 1980's, followed by one of the more remarkable comebacks in music history beginning in the 1986 collaboration of "Walk this Way" with Run DMC. Known for their energetic stage shows, the band has toured relentlessly over its long and storied history. Aerosmith's first headlining concert in Hawaii was held at the HIC Center in Honolulu on July 13, 1975 as part of their World Tour. Ironically, the band had first played Hawaii as an opening act for The Guess Who in December of 1974, where during the sound check Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were riffing and came up with the framework for "Walk this Way".
