Formed in 1968, progressive rock pioneering band Yes has been forging an influential musical history for over four decades. Originating with the brainchild of singer Jon Anderson and bassist Chris Squire, Yes has had 19 different members, produced 21 albums, and spent a considerable portion of the last 50 years touring the world. Yes made their first visit to Hawaii on March 30th, 1988, where they rocked Honolulu's Blaisdell Center as part of their Big Generator tour. Yes had a reputation for massive sets and intense light displays for their tours. However, for the Honolulu show, much of the bands sets, equipment and instruments had already been shipped to Japan for the next leg of their tour, so concertgoers to the Blaisdell center were treated to a rare, more stripped down live show. Yes is still out on tour to this date, and with their 2017 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, these rock icons show no sign of slowing down.
