Hawai’i’s original beer is back! The tradition of brewing beer on the Islands began with Honolulu’s Don Francisco de Paula Marin all the way back in 1812. The tropical weather of the South Pacific combined with the laid back Aloha lifestyle made this cold, sudsy beverage the perfect refreshment for locals and watermen alike. In 1897 the Hawai’i Brewing Company introduced Primo Beer, which came to be known as “the Hawaiian beer” for much of the last century. Available again is the beer with the unique flavor and aroma that comes from a touch of raw Hawaiian cane sugar.
