The Hawaiian Masters was conceived and developed by Fred Hemmings three years after he won the 1968 World Surfing Championships. Held annually in December, the competition is home to one of the world's most explosive tubes breaking just 75 yards off the shore, allowing judges and spectators alike to have a great view.
