In the winter season in Honolulu between 1910 and 1917 the Mid-Pacific Carnival was held annually at Aala Park, where circus acts, sideshows and hula dancers entertained the public. The Carnival, which was produced by the Mid-Pacific Carnival Company along with Merchants from Honolulu, featured the annual Floral Parade which is still held today in celebration of Kamehameha Day.
