Roland "The Hawaiian" Leong is one of the legendary figures in racing, whose over 40 year career as a driver, owner and crew chief for funny cars and dragsters has made him one of the sport's greats. In 2005, he was inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame and in 2006, he was Grand marshal of the 15th Annual Hot Rod Reunion. Founded in the mid 1980s by Frank Hawk, the National Skateboard Association made competition, once again, a priority for skaters. NSA was a proud host to many skate competitions during the 1980s to the 1990s, but as participation began to dwindle, the association was forced to shutdown.
