The brick store which stands today was built in 1958 and made famous in 1961 by composer Paul Weston who wrote the song “The Hasegawa General Store.” For over 100 years the Hasegawa General Store has been one of the few places to shop for basic items in idyllic Hana and is one of the only remaining family owned business on Maui.
