Bruce Brown Films was a film production company created nearly 60 years ago that produced a number of well-recognized lifestyle documentary films produced by director/producer/cinematographer/lecturer, Bruce Brown. The California native began his early film operations in Dana Point, California, where he honed in on his skill sets of surf photography, which later lead to his first film, “Slippery When Wet” (1958). His unique approach to filming the burgeoning world of surf and live-narrated screenings throughout Southern California led to a number of other classics, including “Surf Crazy”, "Surfin’ Shorts”, “Barefoot Adventure”, “Surfing Hollow Days”, and “Waterlogged”. Then, in 1964, Brown would begging touring his latest and ambitious surf flick, “The Endless Summer” in civic centers and schools throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The film has since been regarded as the ultimate surf classic.
